RAIN FORCES CANCELLATION OF ULSTER GRAND PRIX

This year's Ulster Grand Prix has been cancelled after heavy rain stopped racing taking place at Dundrod on Saturday.
Heavy rain which swept in on Friday night and Saturday morning resulted in treacherous conditions which left the organisers with little option but to call off the meeting.
A final decision to call off the meeting was taken at 2pm and attempts to hold the event on Sunday have failed.
"Financially it's a disaster for us - whether we (Dundrod Club) can bounce from this remains to be seen," Clerk of the Course Noel Johnston was reported as saying.
Two UGP races in 2007 were also cancelled after heavy rainfall.
